Obama Pendant by Gabriel Urist

We’ve been inundated with Obama related product and design over the course of the campaign. With the election on the horizon, we can expect the flurry to end in the next two weeks. We may also suggest that the best is yet to come. Gabriel Urist, the New York based jeweler, certainly resides in the top class. His Obama pendent doesn’t fall into pop culture reference trap. He simply takes the core campaign material and creates something simple and beautiful. See this and more if his work HERE.

Ply Laptop Case

Very nice laptop case from Philadelphia based freelance designer Brian Kelly. The laptop case is formed from two bend panels of plywood which slide along one another to encase the laptop computer. The case is lined with cork to provide additional heat resistance and protection. I think it would be even better if there was away to stop the inner plywood piece from coming all the way out, then you could use that as a handle. Check it out HERE.

Welcome to good burger...

It took Brad Sciullo 4 hours and 39 minutes to finish a marathon. A meat marathon, that is. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound western Pennsylvania chef is the first person to eat a monstrosity called the Beer Barrel Belly Bruiser: a 15-pound burger with toppings and a bun that brought the total weight to 20.2 pounds. 2009 Ferrari California Model Update

Already sold out through 2010, legendary car-maker Ferrari steps it up a notch for their all-new California model. Only batches of 2,000 per year will go into production and instead of replacing an existing platform, the Italian company pushes out a V8 to compliment the F430. The model’s sleek exterior design is very aesthetically pleasing and even more beautiful is the beastly 4.3L V8 engine, generating 460 horsepower at 7,500 rpm. The Ferrari California holds a price tag of €179,000 (Approx. $243,798 USD), so for those looking to empty out their savings account now, 2011 will be the closest year the California becomes available. Palin believes dinosaurs and men once coexisted

After conducting a college band and watching Palin deliver a commencement address to a small group of home-schooled students in June 1997, Wasilla resident Philip Munger said, he asked the young mayor about her religious beliefs.
Palin told him that "dinosaurs and humans walked the Earth at the same time," Munger said. When he asked her about prehistoric fossils and tracks dating back millions of years, Palin said "she had seen pictures of human footprints inside the tracks," recalled Munger, who teaches music at the University of Alaska in Anchorage and has regularly criticized Palin in recent years on his liberal political blog, called Progressive Alaska.
